Based in East Freetown, we provide professional heavy-duty towing, recovery, truck repairs, and parts sales to customers across New England. Where It All Began
Big Wheel Towing & Recovery started in 1980 with a single yellow Ford truck, built for hard work and reliability. Over the decades, our fleet and expertise have grown to include the latest recovery technology and a full-service repair facility. From roadside assistance to complex heavy-duty recoveries, we’ve stayed true to our roots—serving Massachusetts drivers with integrity and precision.
In 1982, Bob added a 1970 GMC 9500 with a 671 Detroit and a Well-Built 600 unit for heavier jobs. A year later, a 1970 R-Model Mack with a W45 unit marked our serious entry into towing. From those humble beginnings, Big Wheel Towing & Recovery has grown into a trusted leader in the industry, continually expanding and adapting to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
